Tom O’Connor is a Director of Tessitura Network Enterprise Consulting, a division focused on helping licensee organizations in the arts and culture field to build their business capabilities in the areas of marketing, fundraising, and enterprise-wide customer strategy. With a focus on innovation and efficiency, Enterprise Consulting works with these organizations to define, assess, and evolve their business practices in service to their overall goals. Prior to joining Tessitura, he spent 12 years in the non-profit and commercial performing arts field, spanning Broadway, Off-Broadway, and regional theatre. Most recently, he served as Director of Marketing & Audience Development for Roundabout Theatre Company, New York’s largest not-for-profit theatre.
Tom has also served in marketing and audience services roles for Manhattan Theatre Club, Situation Interactive, the Huntington Theatre Company, and Boston’s Stuart Street Playhouse. He is an adjunct lecturer in the Brooklyn College Graduate Program in Performing Arts Management teaching Marketing for the Performing Arts, as well as a regular guest lecturer in the Graduate Program at Columbia University. Tom has regularly presented at the National Arts Marketing Project, Theatre Communications Group, Capacity Interactive Digital Marketing Bootcamp, and Tessitura Learning & Community Conferences. He resides in the Hudson Valley, just outside of New York City.
