Steve has worked in nonprofit regional and commercial Broadway theatre for over fourteen years and currently serves as the Marketing Director for New York’s Off-Broadway Atlantic Theater Company. A graduate from the University of California San Diego (UCSD), Steve spent four years at the Tony Award-winning La Jolla Playhouse working in various departments from marketing to theatre education. Commercially, Steve ventured into the Broadway realm as Marketing Manager of RENT during its 10th Season of Love and national movie launch while employed at TMG – The Marketing Group. Steve helped pioneer digital marketing on Broadway during his time at Situation Interactive, working with a variety of productions including Tony Award-winning Spring Awakening, A Chorus Line (2006 revival), Blue Man Group, and Pulitzer Prize-winning August: Osage County. Steve later established Tate Theatrics where he produced over seven theatrical productions, collaborating with such artists and organizations as Stephen Schwartz, Diane Paulus, A.R.T., and London’s The Old Vic. With Tate Theatrics Marketing, Steve worked to promote a full range of live theatrical and general entertainment clients which included The Book of Mormon, Spiegelworld’s Empire, First National Tour of Spring Awakening, Tribeca Film Festival, Sundance/IFC and The National Theatre of Great Britain (NT Live).
