Sara Villagio is the Director of Marketing at Jazz at Lincoln Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enrich, entertain, and expand a global community for Jazz through education, performance, and advocacy. For nearly ten years, she has managed marketing for JALC’s three performance venues and a year-round schedule of performances and education programs, with a focus on generating revenue through ticket sales and developing new audiences for the art form.
Sara holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Industry with Performance Honors. After internships with Skidmore College’s Summer Jazz Institute and Blue Note Records, Sara began her career at Artemis Records, focusing on marketing, media relations, and artist development. In 2005, she began her career in marketing at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Sara is a 2012 graduate of the Arts & Business Council of New York’s Arts Leadership Institute program in Executive Education, and has presented and participated in panel discussions at the National Arts Marketing Project Conference, Syracuse University, Skidmore College’s Department of Special Programs, Baruch College, and the Harlem Arts Alliance.
