Amanda has served as Charlotte Ballet’s Marketing Manager for five years and, while she’s become a lover and advocate for the art of ballet, her own dancing still remains remarkably awkward. In her position, Amanda directs Charlotte Ballet’s content marketing strategy, media buying, social media accounts, email and digital marketing. She loves working directly with the company’s artists to tell their stories through fresh, fun, engaging content.
Before entering her current role, Amanda served as Y-Community Marketing Director for five branches of YMCA of Greater Charlotte and as Director of Communications at a motorsports pit crew training facility. In her pre-marketing life, Amanda was a print new reporter and still loves storytelling through content marketing.
Amanda serves as a Social Media Manager for DropZone Marketing where she helps skydiving facilities around the country with development of social media content. She also serves as a foster parent for rescue dogs, is on the event committee for Brewer’s Ball benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and is a Rape Crisis Companion for Safe Alliance, an organization that assists survivors of domestic assault and sexual abuse.
Amanda left her small hometown of Walnut Cove in the North Carolina foothills to attend Appalachian State University where she saw her Mountaineer football team win their first National Championship. Besides attending football games she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism with a minor in English
In her free time, Amanda enjoys hiking, kayaking, cheering on the Chicago Cubs and spending time with her two beagles, Mille and Dude. Talk to Amanda about true crime podcasts, craft beer and be prepared to look at dog photos on her phone.
